Sometimes, the biggest surprises come from the smallest decisions.
Angela Lozano, a kindergarten teacher in Big Spring, Texas, entered the DK/ALON Big Game Sweepstakes on December 30th completely on a whim. She didn’t enter daily, didn’t plan it out, and honestly forgot about it shortly after.
And then her phone rang.
“I saw the voicemail Hunter left and initially thought I had won fuel,” Angela said. “When she told me I’d won Super Bowl tickets, I was in disbelief. I even asked if it was a scam because it felt too good to be true!”. Once she received the official email and saw the Delek branding, it all hit her at once: it was real — and she was going to the Big Game.
How the DK/ALON Big Game Sweepstakes Worked
The DK/ALON Big Game Sweepstakes gave customers the opportunity to enter for a chance to win the ultimate football prize package. It was designed to be quick and easy to join and as Angela’s story proves, it only takes one entry to win.
Angela says she entered while fueling up at the DK station near her home located on Wasson Road in Big Spring, Texas – not far at all from the Delek Refinery.
As the Grand Prize winner, Angela received a once-in-a-lifetime trip package including:
- Two tickets to the Big Game (February 8, 2026)
- Roundtrip airfare for winner + guest
- Three nights hotel accommodations
- A $500 digital Visa gift card for food and transportation
And she already knows who she’s taking: her husband. “I’m taking my husband — he loves sports and I love to travel, so it’s pretty perfect.” When she called to tell him, his reaction was priceless. “I said, ‘I don’t want to get you too excited… but I think I won tickets to the Superbowl.’ It was dead silence from him”, she mentioned while laughing.
A Big Spring Win — With a Delek Connection
Angela’s win feels especially meaningful because Big Spring is home to the Delek refinery, a major part of the community and local economy. In fact, the refinery represents something bigger than just where fuel comes from: it’s a reminder that DK and ALON fuel is refined right here in the U.S., helping support American jobs and power the communities we serve.
“Delek is a huge part of Big Spring,” Angela shared. “I have friends that work there, and I always encourage people looking for jobs to check out the refinery because they take care of their people and they take care of Big Spring.” Her school even backs up to the refinery — and her students have their own hilarious perspective. “The kids think it’s New York City,” she laughed.
A Once-in-a-Lifetime Moment
Angela shared she can’t wait to experience the excitement and hype of the Big Game, especially since she’s never won anything close to this before. “This is literally a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity,” she said. “It’s mind-blowing to win something so huge.”
And her story is the perfect reminder of what sweepstakes are all about:
“It’s so cool to think when they say, ‘you never know, it could be you!’… that it could be true.”
